EDUCATION
Legacy children’s initiative operates in government primary schools and educational programs that provide quality and inclusive education to children in underserved communities of Namutumba district.
We implement innovative teaching methods, promote literacy, and strive to create a conducive learning environment for the orphans and vulnerable children.
Health Campaign
At Legacy Children’s Initiative, we believe health is a basic right for every person. Our Health Campaign works to improve community well-being through disease prevention, health education, and access to essential medical care.
We focus on protecting children and families from preventable illnesses such as meningitis, malaria, and cholera. Our team supports communities with free medical camps, immunization drives, clean water projects, and maternal health support. We also promote hygiene awareness, mental health care, and outreach to remote and underserved areas.
Nutrition
We address malnutrition by implementing nutrition programs in schools and in the community that provide balanced meals, nutritional supplements, and education on healthy eating practices to children and their families.
Child Protection
Legacy children’s initiative advocates for and works towards the protection of children’s rights. We conduct awareness campaigns, community workshops, and collaborate with local authorities to prevent child exploitation, abuse.
Community Development
Our organization actively engages in community development projects that enhance the overall well-being of children. This includes infrastructure development, clean water initiatives, and income-generating activities for families.
Women's Empowerment
Legacy children’s initiative empower adolescent mothers who have dropped out of school through vocational training, skill development, and income-generating activities.
We promote entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership training to enhance women’s economic independence and self-sufficiency.
Our Achievements
We are Implementing a nutrition program benefiting 100 children, with a daily nutritious cup of porridge.
We are providing education support to over 300 vulnerable children in remote communities across Uganda.
We empower Adolescent mothers through vocational training, skill development, and income-generating activities.
We are promoting entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership training to enhance women’s economic independence and self-sufficiency.
Successfully advocated for child protection policies at the community level, contributing to a safer environment for children.
At Legacy Children’s Initiative, we are raising awareness about meningitis across Uganda through community education in schools, churches, and villages.
We work with local health leaders to share accurate information on prevention, vaccination, and treatment, while distributing flyers and holding awareness sessions in communities.
We aim to expand our efforts through TV and social media campaigns, health camps, and partnerships with healthcare providers to promote early diagnosis and prevention.

Empowering Adolescent Mothers
At Legacy Children’s Initiative, we empower young mothers to rebuild their lives through vocational training, skill development, and income-generating activities. We also provide mama kits to ensure safe and dignified deliveries for adolescent mothers.
Our goal is to help them gain confidence, support their children, and create a brighter, self-reliant future.

Skills Development for a Brighter Future
At Legacy Children’s Initiative, we equip young mothers and vulnerable community members with practical skills that open doors to self-reliance and financial independence. Through tailoring, crafts, hairdressing, and small business training, participants gain the tools to start income-generating activities and improve their livelihoods.
